Help Welcome the Ridglan Beagles Into Their Next Chapter

This volunteer intake process is organized by Big Dog Ranch Rescue for the beagles released through negotiations with Ridglan Farms. Volunteer crews are needed for intake, processing, cleaning, loading, clerical support, and calm dog care.

Required for all volunteers

No medical barn photos, video, or audio. No public criticism or discussion of dog conditions, handling, care, or negotiations.

Media may only be taken at the top barn when staff permits it. Shoes must be disinfected before entering work areas. Anyone currently fostering sick dogs should not apply for this intake at this time.

Submit one contact card and select every shift when you may be available. Big Dog Ranch Rescue outreach will contact volunteers before assigning a final role, report time, and placement.

Before submitting, every volunteer must review and acknowledge requirements tied to the negotiated release of the Ridglan Farms beagles.

Keep non-public information confidential.
Do not make public criticism or comments about dog care, treatment, condition, handling, or negotiations.
No photos, video, or audio in the medical barn.
Follow biosecurity and Big Dog Ranch Rescue staff direction.

Open Required Legal Terms

Receiving Rescue Organization acknowledges that Big Dog Ranch Rescue is subject to binding confidentiality and non-disparagement obligations with third parties, including restrictions on making or causing to be made any public statements or communications that disparage or criticize, including without limitation statements regarding the care, treatment, condition, or handling of the Dogs.

Accordingly, Receiving Rescue Organization agrees as follows:

It shall not make, publish, or communicate any public statements, or cause or permit any third party to make such statements, that could be construed as disparaging or critical, including without limitation statements regarding the care, treatment, condition, or handling of the Dogs;
It shall not disclose or disseminate any confidential or non-public information relating to Big Dog Ranch Rescue, its partners, operations, or the Dogs, except as required by law;
It shall ensure that its employees, agents, volunteers, contractors, media personnel, and any third parties acting on its behalf comply with this provision; and
It shall not take any action, including the release of statements, images, or media, that would cause Big Dog Ranch Rescue to be in breach of its contractual obligations.

For the avoidance of doubt, Receiving Rescue Organization acknowledges and agrees that any statements, content, or communications made by Receiving Rescue Organization or any third party acting on its behalf shall not be deemed to have been made or "caused to be made" by Big Dog Ranch Rescue.

In the event of any uncertainty regarding compliance with this provision, Receiving Rescue Organization agrees to consult with Big Dog Ranch Rescue prior to making any public statement or releasing any content.

I understand that if I am fostering sick dogs, I should not volunteer for this intake at this time because the dogs are vulnerable. If I have questions, I will ask Liz or Bree. If neither is available, I will approach any Big Dog Ranch Rescue staff member.
